Perkins Crankcase Breather Filters
The Perkins 2652A016 is a crankcase ventilation element listed for the Perkins 1106C-E60TA in the 1100 Series. It is not an engine air filter. Confirm the build, installed position and old number before ordering.
Availability and delivery terms confirmed with quotation.
The 2652A016 is a crankcase breather. It filters air drawn into the crankcase and manages crankcase pressure, separating oil mist so oil does not escape into the intake or atmosphere. It is not an engine air filter and not a lube-oil filter.
Sellers use labels such as “breather filter element”, “oil breather filter” and “crankcase gases filter”; some call it a plain “air filter”. The job does not change: this is the crankcase ventilation element. The engine air filter and lube-oil filter are separate parts with different jobs.
Perkins carries two crankcase breather numbers. 2652A016 is listed for the 1106C-E60TA in the 1100 Series. 2654A104 is the breather for the 1103, 1104 and 1106 Series. They are different elements for different engine applications.
If your engine is the 1106C-E60TA, this is the number to check. If it is the 1103, 1104 or 1106 family, you are likely looking at the 2654A104 breather. Confirm the application by serial, then the position.
We publish only the fields that agree across listings. Element dimensions are withheld: the only consistent published figure is the OE package size, and a package dimension is not an element specification. Those values are confirmed against the manufacturer specification for your build and stated in your quotation.

Engine build. Provide the maker, model and full serial or build number — to fix the application, the 1106C-E60TA versus the 1103/1104/1106 family.
Installed position. Identify the breather position on the engine, and whether it is being serviced as part of a crankcase-ventilation check.
Complete old part number. Send the full number printed on the removed element, including the A and any suffix. Where the manual, parts record and old element disagree, send all three. The element in your hand is evidence; the manual is a document.
2654A104 is the other Perkins crankcase breather, listed for the 1103, 1104 and 1106 Series. A different application, and the two are not interchangeable without a record check. If you are unsure which application your engine is, send the serial and the old number rather than guessing.
229-3555 / 480-4313 are the Caterpillar numbers for this same reference. The 1106C-E60TA is the engine also sold as the Caterpillar 3056E, which is why the CAT number appears alongside the Perkins one. It is a candidate to review, not a separate confirmation.
Other 2652… numbers circulate in the same engine-family parts lists, including 2652C… air elements. The A is load-bearing. Transcribe the full number, including the letter and any suffix; do not truncate or “correct” it. Order the number you can evidence; accept a substitution only when the quotation names it.
Candidate references circulating for this number include Caterpillar 229-3555 and 480-4313, Massey Ferguson 4224809M1, HiFi Filter SAO6091, Marapco 5149-0288-1, SBL88015 and DL-Filter DAS-10555. Lists differ between sellers.
Perkins Engines is part of Caterpillar Inc., which is why the Caterpillar number appears alongside the Perkins one — it names the same reference in a different parts system, not a relationship we hold. A cross-reference is a shortlist to check, not a statement of equivalence.

Perkins 1106C-E60TA (1100 Series; also sold as Caterpillar 3056E)
Applications are engine-led: generator sets, agricultural machinery, plant and marine duty. Equipment lists may show McCormick, Hidromek, Terex, Manitou, Case, Claas, New Holland, JCB and FG Wilson numbering; confirm those on the machine’s own record, not on the filter’s.
Industrial cross-references also require a check against the machine’s parts record.
Each line is checked against the parts record and filter position. Your quotation states the offered item, maker, complete part number, quantity and delivery terms.
Availability is confirmed against your list. No real-time stock feed is published.
Request a QuoteA Perkins crankcase ventilation element listed for the 1106C-E60TA in the 1100 Series. It is not an air filter. Always pair the number with “Perkins crankcase breather filter” when searching or ordering.
It is the crankcase breather (ventilation) element. The engine air filter and the lube-oil filter are separate parts. Sellers use several labels for the same part; the job is crankcase ventilation.
It is the same reference under two numbering systems; Perkins Engines is part of Caterpillar Inc. Treat the CAT number as a candidate to confirm, not a separate fitment certificate.
Different engine applications. 2652A016 serves the 1106C-E60TA; 2654A104 serves the 1103, 1104 and 1106 Series. Confirm the application by serial before ordering.
Only the serial and the position confirm that. Send both with the old number.
The 2652A016 is quoted against a build, a position and a number, in that order. Send the engine model, build number and the number printed on the element you are removing.
