Perkins Oil Filters
A spin-on engine oil filter listed across the Perkins 4.108, 4.236, 900, 1000 and 1100 Series engine ranges. Whether it is the right element for your engine depends on the serial prefix, the build list and the number printed on the filter you are removing, not on the series name alone.
Availability and delivery terms confirmed with quotation.
2654403 is a genuine Perkins spin-on lube filter; the engine serial prefix, not the series name, decides the correct part. Its longer sibling 2654407 shares the same thread and diameter but a taller canister, and is a substitute only where clearance allows.
The 2654403 is a spin-on canister: element and housing in one unit, threaded onto the block and sealed by a gasket. It is an engine oil filter with an anti-drain-back valve and a by-pass valve, supplied with a sealing ring. Its job is full-flow lube filtration, removing wear particles before oil reaches the bearings and valvetrain. Perkins’ own listing spans 4.108, 4.236, 900, 1000 and 1100 Series engines and keys the part to a long list of engine serial prefixes.
Perkins is an engine application and original reference name only; no authorized-dealer status is claimed, and we do not manufacture original Perkins elements. This is a reference page, not a fitment certificate.
Maker, model and full serial or build-list prefix.
Whether a taller canister will foul anything on this engine.
Including any suffix or paint-code mark. Where the catalogue, the build list and the old element disagree, send all three.
We publish only the interface fields that agree across listings. Outside diameter, height and the by-pass valve setting are withheld: listings conflict, and a copied figure is not evidence. Those values are confirmed against the manufacturer specification for your build and stated in your quotation.
| Check | Value to compare | How to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Thread | 3/4″-16 UNF | Match the old element |
| Sealing ring | ~71.6 mm OD (as listed) | Measure or match the old element |
| Valves | Anti-drain-back and by-pass fitted | Confirm against the build record |
| Longer sibling | 2654407, same thread and diameter, taller canister | Check clearance on the engine |
| Outside diameter, height, by-pass setting | Not published | Confirmed per quotation |

Perkins 4.108, 4.236, 900, 1000 and 1100 Series
Applications are engine-led: these engines appear in tractors, plant, generator sets, marine and industrial duty. The 1100 Series in particular reaches a large generator-set and plant population; confirm each application on the machine’s own record, not on the filter’s.
The 1104D is not on Perkins’ published model list for 2654403; a related number, 2654A111, is cited for some 1104D builds. Confirm against the build list before ordering.
We check each line against the build list and position, then state the offered item, maker, complete number, quantity and delivery terms.
No real-time stock feed is published; availability is confirmed against your list.
Request a QuoteBoth are 3/4″-16 UNF spin-on oil filters of the same diameter; 2654407 is the taller canister. On some engines the taller filter can foul adjacent components, so treat it as a substitute only where the build and clearance confirm it.
Perkins lists 4.108, 4.236, 900, 1000 and 1100 Series engines, keyed to a long list of serial prefixes. Confirm the serial or build-list prefix rather than relying on the series name.

No. Bulk listings sometimes bundle Toyota 90915-TD001 or Ford C1AZ-6731A numbers beside 2654403, and the digits also match a Hobart ground-support part. A numeric match is not a fitment match.
Sources give roughly 8–11 psi. Confirm the figure against the manufacturer specification for your build rather than a reseller listing.
